Kleenex tissues (with soothing lotion)™

The product: Kleenex brand tissues, with added lotion. A favourite of mine. I’ve been using these (and just these) for years. Let me tell you about them.

First, the box: It’s rectangular, and approximately 22.5 cm (9 inches) long, 12 cm (4.7 inches) wide, and 8.9 cm (3 1/2) inches tall. It’s made of a relatively soft cardboard, and has very calm-looking pastel designs, which fits with the type of tissues it holds inside. The opening is approximately 17 cm (6.7 inches) long and 5 cm (1.9 inches) wide, complete with a little plastic “window” that ensures that the tissues come out one at a time (under a removable strip of cardboard that safely covers it). The brand logo on the long sides is eye-catching enough, but small and simple enough to be unobtrusive. On the bottom, it shows the brand, type of tissues, the thickness of the tissues, and how many tissues per box. All-in-all, solid information for a tissue box.

The tissues: There are 120 per box, which is enough to last you for a decent while (unless you’re sick and have a very runny nose). They are rectangular, and are approximately 21.5 cm (8.4 inches) long and 20cm (7.8 inches) wide. They have 3 (three) layers, and have lotion added (coconut oil & aloe, according to the bottom of the box). They are decently thick, and quite soft.

My personal experience: I have used these to blow my nose many times over the years, and they have proven to be tough-yet-gentle. Their thickness means that you will rarely blow a hole through them and get snot all over your hand, and their softness means that you don’t have to worry about your nose becoming irritated and raw (unless you’re very sick and blowing your nose constantly, but at that point it simply can’t be helped).

Summary: These tissues are very soft, decently strong, and there’s good amount in a standard box. The box itself looks nice.

Recommended: If you have a sensitive nose, like me.
